Laurie Wood is the owner of both Woody's Signs and Designs and That's Adormable. She is a retired teacher, having taught a variety of subjects ranging from Life Science, Math, Health, Drama, Gifted and Talented, Technology and Grades 3 and 5. She is a wife and mother of three girls and one very spoiled dog named Parker.
That's Adormable started as an example idea shared with her 7th grade technology class while studying entrepreneurship. As a lifetime lover of design, decoration, and sewing, Wood was always looking for a creative outlet for her passions. At the time her oldest daughter wanted a headboard for her apartment and the first prototype was constructed. Pillows, bed skirts, and bed scarves soon followed, and the full product line of That's Adormable was established.
Soon after, Woody's Signs and Designs was born when a shot ski was made as a 60th birthday present for her brother. Custom shot skis turned into custom signs, which then turned into running Paint & Sip Parties and sharing her craft with others. Woody's Signs and Designs hosts monthly paint parties at local restaurants and private homes in central New Jersey.
